The Calathea Illustris plant blooms after several years of dormancy. In winter, it starts to show its flowers. The flowers have white petals and an umbel with dark-colored leaves and flowers in shades of yellow-brown, pink, orange, red, purple, and green.

Calathea Illustris Plant is one of the rare plants of Brazil. This Calathea Illustris plant is a palm-like evergreen plant with a dark green stem that grows up to 50 cm high, similar in shape to Calathea Makoyana, the common rose-potted calathea.
