Alocasia Stingray Tissue Plant


The Alocasia stingray plant has been used in Asia for its medicinal purposes for centuries. The Alocasia Stingray Plant is a tropical plant that thrives best in an area with a moderate to the hot tropical climate and is indigenous to Asia.

This small but robust plant is about 4 feet long and about an inch wide. When grown at ideal conditions, one particular kind of Alocasia will grow up to about 15 feet long and eight to nine feet wide making it a very impressive spectacle. The flower can sometimes be seen from the water and it grows well on a sandy or muddy substrate. The plant does not do well in clay pots or even in a plastic pot.
