Zantedeschia Aethiopica Tissue Culture

Zantedeschia Aethiopica Plant, sometimes called the Southern Charm Grass, is also known by the names Pterocarpus santalinus and Artemisia vulgaris. Zantedeschia aethiopica, known as calla lilies or arum lilies, is a common species in the genus Arum, native to southern Africa, Lesotho, and Swaziland in particular.

It has been suggested that these plants may have a genetic relationship with the Calla lilies (Asteraceae) that dates back to Darwin’s day. However, whether this relationship exists is highly debated by scientists. Some sources suggest that there is strong archaeological evidence for the relationship; while other sources present conflicting views.
